Cosmos back in the big leagues

Johannesburg - Following their promotion to the Absa Premiership, Jomo Cosmos midfielder Bamuza Sono says he is overwhelmed by the idea of competing in top flight football in the 2015/16 season.

Cosmos confirmed their return to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) after a three-year three absence when they defeated the outgoing Moroka Swallows 1-0 in the PSL and NFD relegation/promotion playoffs at Dobsonville Stadium on Wednesday.

Wiseman Maluleka’s goal in the closing stages of the game was enough to send Ezinkosi to the top of the mini-league, as they finished above Black Leopards on goal difference.
The 35-year-old holding midfielder said it’s always overwhelming to come out triumphant in the promotion/relegation playoffs
.
“The feeling is just unexplainable and every time when we play the playoffs and win it’s just something you can’t explain,” said Sono.
“It’s always overwhelming and I’m sure every player was eager to get home and get over the shock.

“I doubt that some of our players will find it easy to sleep this week.

“I was halfway through my tears when we scored that goal, if you have seen my celebration you could see that.

“Can you imagine me jumping the advertising boards at my age, it’s very surprising.
“I’m really ecstatic that we’ll be playing in the top flight football next season.”
