Mbombela - Mamelodi Sundowns have booked their place in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals with a 2-0 win over Black Aces at the Mbombela Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Teko Modise and Themba Zwane both got on the score sheet in the second half to secure the victory, which came just a few days after the sides had played out a 1-1 draw in the Premiership.
The result now sees the Brazilians move into Monday's last-four draw, where they join Ajax Cape Town, SuperSport United and Vasco da Gama.
Sundowns created the game's first chance after just two minutes but Hlompho Kekana wastefully fired over the crossbar, while Khama Billiat at least managed to find the target with his effort, but saw Jackson Mabokgwane make a routine save.
Black Aces took a bit longer to get going but finally worked a chance through Onyekachi Okonkwo, but the forward saw his effort deflected behind for a corner.
Cuthbert Malajila then thought he had put the Brazilians in front after getting the ball in the back of the net, but the referee ruled the goal out for a foul on the goalkeeper during the build up.
Okonkwo was looking Aces' most likely source of a goal and he came close to upsetting the apple cart after breaking through into the area, but he could only angle his shot across the face of goal.
The hosts bossed the opening stages of the second half and deservedly took the lead after 58 minutes through a training-ground free-kick, which saw Modise lay the ball off to his team-mate to open the angle, before curling a sumptuous effort into the back of the net.
Bongolwethu Jayiya then thought he had drawn Aces level after racing through and clipping the ball over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net, but the referee again scratched out the goal, this time for off-side.
It then went from bad to worse for the hosts as Sundowns doubled their advantage 16 minutes from time, a wonderful attacking move ending with Zwane rifling home a clinical finish.
Jayiya then probably should have at least grabbed a consolation goal for Aces after being played in behind the defence, but he could only send his header wide after beating Denis Onyango to the bouncing ball.
