Despite being favoured by Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter, Nkhatha was never a fans’ favourite, often finding himself being booed from the stands.
The player decided to move to SuperSport United in the January transfer window, and was part of the side that beat AmaKhosi 2-0 in midweek.
Chiefs midfielder Katsande admits that his comrade will be missed.
"I think it will have a big impact. You know, he had his own kind of playing style that is different from the other strikers, so for that reason we will miss his services a lot," the former Ajax Cape Town hard-man told Soccer Laduma.
"Obviously he is my homeboy and I am going to miss him.“We just have to soldier on - life goes on. We wish him good luck where he is going. He is a good player and we are going to miss him.
"We are all going to miss him, but we just need to do what we need to do on the field of play and win games," added Katsande.
