The Chloorkop side signed no fewer than nine new players, Mogakolodi Ngele, Mame Niang, Luyolo Nomandela, Lindokuhle Mbatha, Siyanda Zwane, Bongi Ntuli, Mario Booysen, Rheece Evans and Asavela Mbekile, during the recent transfer window.

However, Mosimane loaned and sold 15 players as well in order for the club to balance their books.

According to KickOff, the former Bafana Bafana mentor believes that Sundowns are the most ambitious club in the Absa Premiership.

"We know what we doing and even last season was the same thing and at the end of the day we delivered the trophy. When we deliver the trophy nobody says why are you signing so many players and when you don't deliver the trophy that question makes a lot of noise."

Having already secured the services of Ajax Cape Town’s Keagan Dolly from the beginning of next season, Mosimane revealed that the influx of players to Chloorkop will simmer down.

"We are slowing down now because we have enough quality. I can bet you we will never see a big number again next season,” said Mosimane.

“We’re slowing down because we getting what we want and a good squad for the next three to five years."

After a poor start to the Absa Premiership Pitso Mosimane’s charges have climbed back into the top four. 'Downs currently are holding onto fourth position, still a massive eight points adrift first position (Kaizer Chiefs) but just two points off second spot (Ajax Cape Town).

Sundowns return to action on Saturday, October 18 at Loftus Versfeld in a PSL encounter against Bidvest Wits.
