The South African Football Association (Safa) newly elected president Danny Jordaan has confirmed that Bafana's win over Spain will still stand.
Bafana beat Spain 1-0 in an international friendly played at the FNB Stadium on November 19, but it was later surrounded with controversy after Spain had made more than six changes in personnel, and therefore it was thought that South Africa will not be given points for the match.

However, Jordaan read an official statement from Fifa, confirming that Bafana will not be sanctioned, and therefore that particular game remain an 'A' match.
"Fifa can confirm that the South Africa-Spain friendly match of 19 November remains an 'A' international, despite the fact that Spain allegedly used more than the maximum of six substitutes that the laws of the game stipulate can be used for such a match," read Jordaan.
"The match shall be considered as an official match and is therefore included in the November edition of the Fifa/Coca-Cola World Ranking," he added.
Despite confirmation, Bafana remain in 61st place in the Fifa World Ranking, having gained 14 points for this month's edition, and they remain 11th in Africa.
Meanwhile Safa has announced that Ernst and Young will now be responsible for the association’s brand and financial management on a long term contract.
Announcing the partnership at the Safa House on Thursday morning, president Danny Jordaan said that they are pleased to have Ernst & Young on board.
“It’s good to have partners who we can enter Africa with. As the association we want to establish a good financial control and management,” Jordaan told reporters.
“Safa is the first organization to outsource the services of a well established company such as this (Ernst & Young), and this is great news for us,” he said.
Jordaan admitted that Safa hasn’t been financially stable of late, but he is optimistic that Ernst & Young will take care of the problem.
“Safa business has a huge potential, but it’s under-performing commercially. So, this will be a good vehicle to take us there,” added Jordaan.
Jordaan also revealed that there are other major announcements that will be made in the upcoming weeks, as all eyes are on who will be the new technical sponsors.
