Morgan Gould |
Gould will go before the PSL Disciplinary Committee ton Tuesday over the incident, where he inexplicably flattened Kebede just after the hour-mark in Chiefs’ 2-1 Absa Premiership win over Wits on the ninth of this month.

Referee Lwandile Mfiki amazingly awarded a free-kick and failed to even caution Gould, let alone send him off.
Wits CEO Jose Ferreira wrote to the PSL and the South African Football Association shortly afterwards demanding that action be taken against both Gould and Mfiki. “I never had any doubt the PSL would take direct action in this matter,” said Ferreira on Sunday, even though it has taken them over two weeks to charge Gould.
Gould apologised immediately after the game, describing the incident as a “freak accident”.
Kaizer Chiefs also apologised to Kebede and Wits and said they would be taking their own “corrective measures” with regard to Gould over the incident. Had Gould received a straight red card from Mfiki, he would have faced a two-match ban, as per the league’s rules. A PSL DC, however, may decide that the nature of Gould’s behaviour merits further punishment, as well as fining the player.
