Just over one million entries have been received from more than 100000 people for this "Be The Coach" campaign used to select players for this event at Soccer City on July 30. The campaign gives fans the opportunity to select which players they want in the starting line-ups. The players with the most votes will take the field.
Fans and consumers have until July 27 to select players they want to play in this match by dialling *120*764* plus the unique code found under bottle caps, followed by the # key.
One unique code allows one player selection. Entry is free.
"We are over the moon that the fans and consumers are endorsing the tournament in massive numbers," said the beer's brand marketing manager Shaun Katz yesterday. "We have reached a million entries since the voting process started on June 1, which is a great milestone for us as sponsors.
"Sixty percent of the entries are for Chiefs. We are getting good amount of the entries from all nine provinces, with Gauteng topping the list."
