The Norwegian's four-year marriage with the Premier Soccer League is coming to an end and he has pleaded with football authorities to prioritise development over "personal benefits".
Without mentioning any names, Siem pointed to a number of factors he felt posed a threat to the development of football and could potentially strain relations between the PSL and Safa.

"The relationship between the PSL and Safa is good, but it could be better. Without proper development structures, the future of football in this country will be very difficult and that's my worry," Siem said.
He pointed to the situation where PSL employees were called on to help with media operations during the 2010 Fifa World Cup, but were left out in the cold just before the tournament started, leaving "a number of unhappy people in the office".
"The whole arrangement was cancelled just before the tournament started. That was a disappointment. People should look at the bigger picture and not personal benefits," he said.
But Siem said he was taking away wonderful memories.
"The opening of Soccer City last year for the Nedbank Cup final was probably the most special moment for me. South African football in general has improved a lot and I'm proud of that," he said.

Siem said he has a handful of opportunities.
"Some are in football, some are not while some are in the broadcast media. But I will make my decision soon
