Sundowns not done with titles

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes his team is expected to finish each season with at least one piece of silverware.

The Brazilians captured the Premiership title in midweek with two games to spare after a 3-0 win over University of Pretoria.

It is an incredible feat for coach Pitso Mosimane, who has brought two league titles to the Brazilians in three seasons.

With 65 points and two games remaining, the Brazilians can also break the record points tally of 69 set by Kaizer Chiefs last season.

"We were competing with our own record so we will try and get more. We are just competing with ourselves and the most important thing at Sundowns, the biggest one, was the Champions League which I think you know how I feel about at the moment," Mosimane told KickOff.

"Secondly, when you are at Sundowns you are expected to win the league, it is normal. When I came here this team had won leagues before so who am I? If you win the league at Sundowns so what?

"That is what you are expected to do, which is why there is no celebrations for us anymore because we are expected to win the league.

"That is the pressure. When you don't win the league it means you didn't do well, like last year, but we need to get one trophy every year at least."
