SAFA had reported a loss of R46m in the 2012-13 financial year, and are currently embarking on a massive financial turnaround strategy, with the new broadcasting deal to play a significant role in that turnaround.

SAFA communications manager, Dominic Chimhavi, confirmed the plans of the FA to clinch the television deal.

“We will issue a media advisory once we have tied all loose ends. But yes, we are in the process of signing various partnership deals as part of our financial turnaround strategy,” affirmed the FA’s Communications Manager.
