Johannesburg - Stuart Baxter was disappointed his Kaizer Chiefs side didn't seal the win following their 1-1 draw against Maritzburg United on Friday.
Lehlohonolo Majoro fired home after 20 minutes for Amakhosi at the Harry Gwala Stadium, only for Terrence Mandaza to score seven minutes into extra-time to earn a point for the Team of Choice.
The Glamour Boys remain top of the Premier Soccer League standings, although Friday's result left them only three points clear at the summit.
Baxter was upset with the way Chiefs conceded at the death, but the Englishman isn't getting too hung-up on the lost points.
"We came up against one of the top teams in the league in Maritzburg United," he told Chiefs' official website.
"We expected them to be tough in their own backyard. I feel though we controlled the game in the first half and scored a goal. We were in control of the game.
"In the second half we got pressed back a little bit. We did create a couple of chances from transition and I feel that we should have put them away. We should have killed the game.
"There was always a possibility of them pulling a goal back if we do not score and it happened in the dying seconds. We were all disappointed in the manner we gave away the lead.
"We need to be stronger mentally if we are to challenge for honours this season. We also need to be more disciplined in the last 10 minutes of the game and I felt that both these elements lacked in the last 10 minutes against Maritzburg.
"Due to injuries we were forced to reshuffle our back four and when we introduced Lincoln (Zvasiya) for Tower (Eric Mathoho) they started putting high balls on the box which also put us under pressure.
"All in all we were able to come away with a point so we should be pleased with that. I am hoping that this week we will be able to get some of the injured players ready for our home game against Golden Arrows next week.
"We will go back to the training ground and prepare what is going to be a challenging month in November.
"We have to keep on fighting. I still have faith in the squad and we all know what is expected of us. We have to keep working and improving and we have a squad to bounce back to winning ways this coming month."
